Tracey had her first riding lesson last night! While she didn't actually get to ride, she met the horse she'll be using for starting her riding. She's riding a pretty brown mare named Lady. Next to Lady, Tracey seems even smaller!
So far, Tracey has learned how to make the horse stop and go on a lead line. She played red light/green light with the horse and her trainer. She had to learn how to make Lady back up as well. At the end of the lesson, she was given some homework and that will continue every week.
Homework for night one? How did you make Lady walk forward, how did you back her up? She's also to remember the horse's withers and hips.
Next week's adventure will involve saddling Lady!
